Dr. John Tomasheski, originally from New Jersey, brings a rich background and a wealth of experience to Tomasheski Family Dentistry. A Virginia Wesleyan University alumnus, he was also a standout athlete, serving as the captain of the tennis team and achieving the distinction of an Academic All-American for three consecutive seasons. His exceptional performance both on and off the court earned him the title of the conference’s scholar-athlete of the year in his senior year and led to his induction into Virginia Wesleyan’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

His commitment to comprehensive patient care deepened during a one-year residency at UNC Hospitals, where he gained extensive experience in medically compromised patient care, operating room treatment, and fabricating obturators (dental prosthesis) for head/neck cancer patients.

After a year of practicing as an associate dentist in Philadelphia, Dr. Tomasheski returned to North Carolina, where he has served the communities of Wake, Johnston, and Orange Counties since 2009. His approach to dentistry is defined by his dedication to education, comprehensive care, and fostering lasting relationships with his patients.

Dr. Tomasheski resides in Apex with his wife, Dr. Kimberly Tomasheski, DDS, and their three children. A family man at heart, he cherishes time spent with his loved ones. His interests are varied and include being an active member of his church, playing tennis, grilling, gardening, running, and participating in Y-Guides.

A proud graduate of the University of Florida, where she laid the foundation for her dental career, she then went on to distinguish herself at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with honors in 2008, Dr. Kimberly is celebrated for her meticulous approach to dental care and her unwavering dedication to her patient’s well-being. Her journey from the sunny coasts of Florida to the esteemed halls of UNC exemplifies her commitment to excellence in her pursuit of dental mastery.
